HDR is taking several images and merging them together. each image taken exposes for each value (highlights, shadows, mid tones) so when all processed together in photoshop or similar program, the picture comes together to show similar to what it was like in reality. the down side to this is people dont know how to do it and make it look fake.

I'm kinda starting to see these as played out as well. It's cool though, and you did a good job with the whole tone mapping thing as well. Personally I'd look for a more interesting subject/composition next time, and you won't even have to mention the HDR.

    Looks good.

I'm curious what you did with the clouds, weren't they moving between shots? If I do an HDR with clouds the sky looks like mashed potatoes :o.

Use the bracket function if you have it available. It'll take several shots in quick succession adjusting the exposure for each shot automatically. Even on my Fuji I can get 5 shots in about 2-3 seconds. The clouds don't move all that much in that amount of time unless it's very windy.

either way, i just erase the bright layer of clouds anyways.. you dont even see them.. so why would it matter if they were in different positions :hsd:

cunts and communists (i.e. he doesn't care who views the photograph)

And yeah, I know about erasing the bright parts and using the bracket function, I'm not retarded. It may work for a web image, but it'd be way too time consuming for a print. Wasn't sure if you had some magic trick.

i wasnt going for an artsy photograph, or even for an interesting subject, i was just trying to do the hdr.. if i had a better subject itd be better obviously, but i was just practicing the HDR.. not taking an insteresting picture
