So I've been doing the do-it-yourself haircut with my Walmart clippers and a #2 guard for a few months and am wondering if I should grow my hair back out to spiky length. What do you guys think? I really appreciate any help, thanks guys! :)

Cool, I'll keep it short then. That's what I wanted to do anyway, I hate having to style my hair, haha. Thanks for the advice guys! :)

ya it looks good short, son. and i agree with the half baked guy, get it cut with scissors really close instead of just a buzz.

i dont like buzz cuts that much because its all one length, and i think that the back should be tapered and around the ears and sideburns should be trimmed. you cant really do that yourself, at home, with clippers

i think that a bit longer would probably look better, but i also think that the "spiky" look is out dated and a bit juvenile. a messy textured "spike" generally looks better on adults. dont use gel, use a paste or wax, and dont focus on trying to make your hair stand straight up, just add some definition to the ends with a wax or whatever
