So it appears that my fuel pump as failed yet again for the 3rd time in 3 years :ugh: I've had the fuel filter replaced on my Explorer also, so that shouldn't be the cause of this reoccurring. I don't run my tank to empty. I haven't taken it in yet due to frustration and lack of funds atm, but I got the same exact symptoms when my car died this time as the previous times. Any recommendations how to approach this?

I've read on getting a better pump this next time around, I just don't want to pay for another costly repair that will fail again.

Yes I plan to, but I'm still worried about it happening again. Even if the previous fuel pump wasn't of high quality, it shouldn't have failed within a year

I had gotten a bosh one for my Tahoe it has lifetime warranty i also cut an access panel under the passenger rear seat for ez removal and installation some people rumor that the bosh ones will brake fast but with the warranty and the ez 10 minute installation i no longer care if it brakes

oh just for a shot try banging on the tank next to the pump with a rubber mallet sometimes will get you going for a little wile
