CTR-301P. I got these about 6 months ago when I was learning more strobist type work because the receiver mounted directly to my camera's shoe (Sony/Minolta). I still may pick up some since I plan on moving to PWs soon.

Thanks! I've been looking for a replacement for my 285HV that bit the dust a few months ago and couldnt justify the price of a quality canon flash if i only use mine occasionally. And, of course, TTL comes as a great addition to the cheap price.

My question is will it connect directly to a PW? The 580ex I have needs a converter to connect to a PW :wtc: Otherwise i'll get 4 of these for my travel shoots :p

Awesome! I just ordered one. I've been looking for a flash, but I really didn't want to shell out the money for the 430 or the 580 just yet.

    and more powerful
and it has a swivel head
    and ttl
and a light up lcd (although, i liked the simplicity of the yn460 power settings :o)

according to the PDF manual, there is no port on it

I am serioulsy thinking about getting one, just to have and mess with really. I dont really need it

someone school me here - if it says it has an optical trigger, does this mean if I fire my 550EX with a cactus and teh 550ex is set to manual and the quantaray is set to slave, that the quantaray will fire without needing an additional trigger?
