I've felt I've came a long way, to a never ending road :bigthumb:

this is resized, other than that 100% off camera.
camera left, right, and far right 430ex, camera right 430ex controlled by a 580ex.

I had radio poppers on two of them(along with 1 rp master), but one was malfunctioning. It ended up working at the very end of the night though.

    Thanks!

    I like 4 a lot myself
    ISO 50

Would you say that the RP's are definitely worth the price? Not sure if I should save up for these, or just go for the Alienbees triggers.

what would be the difference between iso 50 at 1/60th

    and iso 100 at 1/125?

One was working flawlessly, so that one was definitely worth it. But you've always gotta be careful of the fiber optics and antennas. Because I store my gear in such a tightly fitted bag, I remove the antennas in fear of them breaking. So it takes a few extra minutes to setup and set down(not sure if that's the term).

I need to look into why the second one gives me the shits, and I did use a new Duracell battery. I know it receives the signal from the master, cause it blinks when I take a picture. It's possible that the flash may be low on battery, cause I don't replace the battery in the flashes until they're dead... so that could be a possibility. But then again the flash did seem to work fine via Canon's ETTL system. I 'll just have to look into it. I do need to order one more though... I didn't want to spend over $700 in trinkets at one blow :o

Good question, I was just messing around with all the settings to see what would come out decently. I like to scroll from the min-max to see what would give me a good setting. Don't think I played with ISO 100 tonight though.

As far as ISO 100 at 1/125, it'd probably would not be a noticeable difference.

    5 is the winner.

2 wouldn't have been bad had you got a little lower, used a warming gel with the flash, and lit the front of the car too.

I don't have any warming gels, but I am looking to get them very soon.

Thanks, yeah I do feel that 2 sets of fogs are excessive.

They're Impact light stands. 3 stands, umbrellas holders, and shoot through umbrellas comes to about $180 shipped from BH.

I got the idea from POTN Day 1(first link, first page cause it directs you to the second).

ISO 100 would have been better for this than ISO 50. 100 has more headroom than 50 does.

To be honest, that shot was totally accidental. I just randomly pointed the camera and clicked to see if the popper worked or not... and it didn't :hs:.

Just the pitch black dark bg ones were ISO 50. I'll try and toy around with ISO next time to see how it goes.

:h5: I've been debating about setting the duration of the flash shorter.

Do that, and make the "flash" a little more transparent FTW!

I'm not diggin' the WB. It seems too cool. Try warming it up just a bit. I do like the shots with the watermark better than the others though... but I can't stand the watermark itself

    Good job.
