As of now, on an experimental basis, this WILL be allowed. Let's not turn WMD into a buy/sell/trade forum - go easy.

    Two important rules:

    Items for sale/trade must be related to WMD (guns, accessories, targets, ammo, etc. No motorcycles, etc. Use your brain);
EVERYTHING MUST COMPLY WITH ALL FEDERAL AND STATE LAWS. No using OT to arrange unlawful transactions.

Feel free to chime in with your (non-trolling) thoughts. I'm interested in hearing how you guys feel about this.

I'm not sticking the thread until later, so that I can catch the people who ignore stickies.

  3. That's pretty much how it's always been.

Ok, well it's been against the rules for the past couple years. Now it's not. Good enough?

  7. I wasn't trying to be argumentative. And yes, thank you Great Master of the subforum for allowing us to continue doing something we've done for quite some time without any problems.

Considering the alternative is I delete sale/trade threads and have repeat offenders banned, you should be glad, instead of acting like a jerk.

  9. Jesus Christ. Remember how I was one of the people who didn't throw a fit when they foisted new mods on us? All I said was that what you've now said we can do is nothing more than what had been the de facto rule here for quite some time.

I think what he's getting at is we didn't need a formal rule since we'd been doing fine without one. Sort of the answer to the question no one asked.

And now the de jure rule matches your old de facto rule. If you prefer, we can go back to the old rules. That way you can feel like something has changed.

And what I'm getting at is this: Now that there are moderators here who are paying attention and whose job is to enforce the rules, the formal rules matter. The question is whether you prefer the formal rules to be as they've always been, or the new change.

I see what MG is saying but it is nice for it to now be "formally" okay and not just overlooked.

Perhaps we could look into a WMDFS sub-sub forum at a later date?

The problem is that he said it was on an "experimental basis", kind of weird language to use considering its not been a problem.

I think keeping WMD sales in WMD makes sense, I hardly ever visit the yardsale forums.

Any way we could get a subforum for WMD related WTT, WTS and WTB, kind of like the main forums has Teh Idiot Box and The OT bar. That way we kep WMD sales here in WMD where it will be seen by more gun people, but keeps it out the general forums?

Guys, we/I asked for a official decree that we could sell in this forum since we've been doing it anyway, so that people would be encouraged to do so. This usually works out for everyone. So give joe a break as he's doing us a favor.

Now pm me for details on FULLY AUTO LEGAL SUPER BABY KILLING GUNS!!!!! lolz

oh and a sub forum would be about as usefull as putting shit in the yard sale, not enough people there

I kind of liked the old format of, "I'm thinking of selling this, how much is it worth" rather than the new FS/FT format :mamoru:
