I just ordered the galco ankle holster. I'm waiting to see if the calf strap is necessary. When did you come to this realization?

I went to the local shop and bought the desantis one. I realized this when I noticed while driving I am practically unarmed because I cannot access my gun. I was carrying my 642 in my jacket pocket now it sits on my ankle.

I am not sure if I needed the calf strap because the 642 is so light but it was 12 bucks.

Ankle holster is also hard to access quickly with the steering wheel in the way.

Depends on what you are driving.
