    me too. and the shoes!

    all of the dresses on this shoot are haute couture

    meaning at least US$200,000+++ each.

    each of those dresses took at least a minimum of 1,000 hours to do.

    all of them are made by hand.

    no sewing machines, nada.

    just like tradition.

    the more embroidery/beadwork, the more hours etc.

    each dress takes at least 10 people working on it

    involves 2-3 fitting sessions.

    it's high fashion galore.

    if you have time, watch SIGNE CHANEL... it journals karl lagerfeld's creation of a haute couture collection

    from idea/concept ..... to reality/shows

    haute couture is a dying craft.

    a lot of people who mastered the art of couture are old and dying.

    in chanel, only 1 person, a really old woman in her 80s or 90s, knows how to create "braids" of fabric to be used as trimmings.

    nobody else knows how to do it except for her.

    and yes, she works until 3 or 4 in the morning to do the braids

    a dress that took more manual labor than a car.

    fyi when you buy a car the value gets dropped the moment you pay for it

    haute couture on the other hand is like jewelry. the older/the more vintage it gets, the higher the price goes up.

    haute couture = museum pieces

    cars = stay in garage.

    i wouldnt go that far. certain cars stay "haute", so to say. im definitely not talking about hondas and fords. but i agree, nice pieces with good resale values are worht the money dumped into them, despite how the majority thinks its rediculous
