You thought it was the literal definition of shocker didn't you? Nope, I got bored and bought some 8.5x11 label/sticker paper and decided to make my own anime stickers, then decided to put it on my paintball gun($500 gun mind you). I had originally chosen the ending from haruhi suzumiya, but was told it's weak and the characters are almost too small to see.

I need some ideas for good pics to put on the side of the gun. It has to be rectangle, and the characters must be a pretty good size. any suggestions?

The eye is broken though, waiting on a new one.

This was a gun that this year was replaced by a new version the NXT which is basicly the same gun, with different milling, but has new breakbeam(as opposed to bouncebeam) eyes and detents. It made its debut at $899 and had come down to around $699 when I bout it, I bought it used for 400 back in 07.
Personally, I've been paintballing since this thing made it's debut in 03.

if the eye is out, does that mean it shoots out more than one ball?

    nice SFT
so hard to affordably get into paintball in aussie... :s

and if the eye is broken the balls get mashed into the loader too fast and they break (called 'chop' in pb terminology)

No, normal eye function an electronic "eye" which is an LED reciever and transmitter(breakbeam) or an infrared sender and reciever/sender(bouncebeam) detect a ball in the breach. When no ball is detected, it doesn't fire, when there is one, the marker will then fire. This prevents breaks in paintballs from half feeds which is when the bolt will cut the paintball in half and mess up the internals of the gun. Without it, I can only rely on a fast hopper to load the paintballs in time till I can cough up the $28.95 for a new eye.

I would have spent the 500 bucks on a real gun :hsd: (well, actually, probably a Bulgarian AK-74S parts kit and a receiver :o)

i've never tried paintball but i can understand a certain level of fun... i mean logically it wouldn't be as fun running around with real guns and shooting your friends potentially killing them. with a real gun you are kinda limited to shooting down the range or at animals if you wan't to keep things legal... but yeah i've shot a couple rifles, great stuff

yah, you can only shoot down range, but on the other hand, there is ALOT of stuff that you can do within that restrictor. My housemate shoots IDPA, which is basically 'shooting pistols in real situations', where there are 'stages' that depict a location (gas station, restaurant, office, home, etc), and you have to engage the bad guys while moving. Personally, I plan on doing something similar but with rifles.

    Its alot of fun :o

You might want to look into themed airsoft games as I think that is what you're looking for

not in any way, shape, or form. I'm not 'looking' for anything, I already know what events I am going to be participating in. Plus, recoil is fun.

Oh, I though they only had that type of thing for pistols as i've never heard of anyone using rifles before. Guess I learned something new today

I don't think of paintball as a shooting gallery. I think of it as a team sport, the same way you'd think of it as baseball and football. (yes I know hunting is a sport, but bear with me)
If you watch X ball, nppl, or speedball in general you'll see what I play is an actual organized game, not going out in the woods and shooting your friends.

I'm not saying it isn't a real sport, I completely understand that it is a team thing. I did it once, enjoyed it, but it just wasn't my cup o' tea compared to real steel. :dunno:

Actually, I really need to get back into archery. Used to use a 100lb bow...fun times hitting the bullseye at 100 yards. Probably can't do that anymore though since I'm out of practice :wtc:

Yeah, I go and shoot real guns all the time; quite the rush. My dad has a friend who is probably just like you and will be ready when the zombies come(and they will).
But personally, I'd rather have to engage another player. Not only are you trying to hit him. But he is a moving target and shooting back at 15bps(balls per second, 15 is most field's cap/max rof; but many guns can go as high as 20-25bps). IMO much funner than shooting at a piece of paper 15 feet away.
