Does anyone have a recommendation for an anime with a love-twist? By this I mean that it isn't completely obvious who the main character will end up with, because as of late that is all that has been aired... and it gets old. I want an anime where I don't know who the protagonist is going to end up with until it finally happens.

Well. I would say cross game, but it kinda gets complicated. I probably wouldn't even classify it as romance.

Semi spoilers below. I still left the plot ambiguous so that it won't ruin it.

Its a baseball genre, but the main char may or may have feelings for the female lead, but its one of those I outwardly hate you type of things, but may secretly like you relationship.

Later on, another character gets introduced that complicates the matter. While the new char and the protagonist relationship kinda progresses, the main char's relationship with the female lead still isn't all that obvious. Since the manga still isn't over, its still not clear who he likes or will end up with. Btw, this is based off the manga plot since the anime follows closely.

Yeah, if you've not seen Escaflowne I'd be shocked. Otherwise, it's a great one!

Manga is awesome. I suggest you read it. The anime is taking forever. I mean, the game itself has taken up 2 episodes.

i dont doubt it. h2 is by the same mangaka and it's one of my favorites.
i read another one by him about boxing whic was pretty similar as well.

also ichigo 100% manga and kimagure orange road anime are good.
been a while since i've read/watched either of those tho

Young man with psychic family moves to a new town meets a badass chick and some other girl, googles 'kimagure orange road' to get a good synopsis, then turns into a cat and a goldfish.

MI is great as wel but it's there's even less question about which girl he's gonna end up with. Again, never saw the anime but read the manga.

I want something which leaves you completely unknowing on who he is going to end up with, right to the very end. Or something that makes it seem obvious, but it's actually not what we think... something like that.
    Watching Suzuka right now.

That's like saying you don't want a mecha fighter and then saying you're watching Gundam. :ugh2:

Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien is the closest thing you'll find.

Not really, I just want something a little different. Every love anime up until now has been so predictable that I can pretty much guess each event up until the "awaited" confession bullshit.
It makes watching them no fun, because I know exactly what's going to happen, how it's going to end, etc.
Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien was good.
TTGL was just awesome, in its own way.
