I use to have a PSP win they first came out when the first trick was browsing the internet on a certain game.

had Lumines and Ridge Racer and regretted selling it

just bought a 4gig DuoPro card and was thinking of buying a PSP for mobile anime watching and music

anyone done/does this? are subtitles actually can be seen?

I watched an episode of Bleach and 5 episodes of Utawarerumono and 3 episodes of High School Girls on my PSP when my friend drove us to Vegas. :coold:

Get PSP Video 9 and it's a cinch. As long as the font on the subs isn't "too" small, then you should be fine.

I want a 4 GB memory stick. :( Mine is only 2 GB. Right now I have like 20 AMVs and 1-14 of Ergo Proxy on it. :coold:

    - is the video quality just as good? as on the computer?

    - and does PSP Video 9 make the filesize smaller?

i watched all of elfen lied on my ipod in high school  that was cool stuff. subtitles werent hard to read at all. but now there is so much music on it i cant fit any anime on it.
psp would be cool, but thats just another thing i would have to cary around. i dont really play portable games that much, my GBA is good enough for me.

When I encode an episode at the lowest preset bit rate it comes out to about 60-80 MB each. The picture isn't the clearest it can be, but it's still quite watchable since the screen is so small anyway (compared to a computer monitor). With higher bit rates, you sacrifice filesize for slightly clearer picture.

PSP Video 9 has different settings for 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios so it keeps the widescreen stuff wide and adds black bars on the sides for the fullscreen stuff.

yeah same here, i have always hated apple and never wanted to give them money. but when i was looking for a new mp3 player because my old one broke, i started to compare the 5th gen ipod with everything else on the market and realized it was superior. So far the only problems i have with it is that scratches easily and looks like crap when its covered in fingerprints, but i fixed that by getting a case. also the id3 tag way of organizing the music and not being able to simply drag and drop it into the drive. eventually i got over it though cause its not so bad after you have already changed like 5000 tags

videora FTW when it comes to converting videos, i think they have one for the psp

as long as its a avi there will be no problem
the problem is with mkv and ogm, which you will only get the default language and sub language for that file. as far as i know theres no way around that
