    I use CCCP & Zoom Player WMV Pro v5.00 & as backup MPC and if I really need it VLC what do you all use?

    Anyone use Gom player http://www.gomplayer.com/main.html ? I have no need to try it but do wonder what it's like.

    Links for the random people who have no clue what I'm talking about or just want to read more.
    Zoom player

    ***CCCP http://www.cccp-project.net/ (media player classic and free Zoom Player come with it)
    Gom player

    VLC

    You might see d/l the odd real media file avoid if you can lower quality but guess if you can't wait the size of the files is small to d/l, Need to play RealMedia files don't use real player use Real Alternative codec

    If you have issues with CCCP you can try K-Lite Mega Codec Pack

    ***This is your best choice for playback of fansubbed anime :)

    oh and on some vids zplayer doesn't find the subs or other audio on dual audio movies. i have to install another codec to make it work but when i restart my computer i have to install that codec again.

    If MPC works fine for you nothing much.
    I just like the advanced features and layout I forget what exactly what it was but a good while back I was having some issue with subtitles or something in MPC on some videos.

    I do this with Zoom player most of the time you don't need to select the subs then though you will still come across the odd anime you have to manually select the subtitles.
    In zoom player right click>stream etc.

    How do I setup a default audio/subs combination?

    Go to Haali's Splitter properties ("Media Splitter Settings" in the CCCP start menu group), and click the Options tab.

    * If you want to set Japanese audio and English subs as default, choose languages-Audio and Subtitle languages and set it to:

    jpn,eng;

    * If you want to set English audio and no subs as default, choose languages-Audio and Subtitle languages and set it to:

    eng,off;

    I use CCCP, even on my new Vista 64 machine but I haven't looked hard enough to confirm that any of the playback programs I like work.

    Otherwise it's a mix of BS Player and MPC.
