animated website banner

    any non-fail graphics people around?

    kinda looking for a banner to be made up which depicts a city.. buildings and whatnot.. and having like an animated billboard that says something.. like.. "welcome to *website name* "

    willing to pay as well

    You might want to check out the Webmaster Lab. They will probably be best suited for what you're looking for. Not to knock anyone in C&P, but I've seen some of the stuff they've done in WL and it's pretty good.

    Just so you know, animated GIF website titles are annoying as shit. A quick little animated intro is fine, just don't have it cycling over and over again.

    How do you easily build animated gifs? Can you do it via a web app... and not a windows specific app?

    I've often wanted to make them for jokes but haven't.

    I use an ancient program called TakeOne 4, made by Ranier Dobele somewhere in Europe. I wish it did 24-bit icons; other than that, it does everything I want in an animated-graphics program.
