Jeff Lewis is a beast of a man. I'd never want to be anywhere near that big though.

A few things: How in the fuck does anyone consider that a WR squat when he doesn't even approach parallel. Secondly, regardless of the total weight, his coefficient is dogshit. Lastly, he could lose an entire 200 pounds of bodyfat - I don't care if he lifts big weights or not, when you can lose that much body fat, you are in no way shape or form an athlete.

Oh, and before someone tries to flame me for not bowing down to that tub of lard - no shit I can't squat 1200 pounds. If I could, that lift wouldn't be a WR. And different goals this, different goals that - nobodies GOAL is to weigh a half ton and die before their 50 (like that man will).

whilst I respect big jeff, he does nothing to promote the SPORT of powerlifting. He'd be better suited in a sumo ring.

Jeff is a disgustingly huge shitsack and while I give him props for having 1200lbs on his back...goddamn I'm surprised he hasn't dropped dead of a heart attack yet.

Bolton on the other hand = THE MAN

how the fuck can you tell depth on that, I'm sure even the centre judge has trouble judging this guy, let alone you through some dodgy filming.

It looks like he was minimum 3 or 4 inches from parallel. The vid gets real shakey and some people start obstructing the view, but you can see hes got a ways to go, then before you know it hes already going back up. Given that it doesn't really look like it, AND it was done at an extremely commercialized gig, AND all the articles recently on the subjectivity of powerlifting judging... it has me more than just a little bit skeptical.

As for your thoughts on me, why don't you get to know me a little bit before you go saying things about me? It's not that I care a bunch about what you think of me (although I would like to be on good terms with you, you have an immense knowledge of lifting in general and sport specific training with strongman & powerlifting - and I'd like the ability to learn) - its moreso that I don't want the people around F&N who don't think for themselves to see what you have to say about me and immediately bandwagon hate me. And again, its not even that I care about them, I just don't want to be the next Tize/LanverV.

What? I can't possibly be the only person who watched that vid and immediately questioned the depth? It was an immediate gut feeling followed by rewatching a few times. It just doesn't look like he hit it to me.

Really the front judge shouldn't be calling depth, at least that's what I've heard from several state chairs and judges

Maybe, maybe not. You aren't one of the people I was referring to. I'm talking about the influx of people who only know 3 or 4 posters here and believe everything Chris has to say.
