Anderson Silva vs. Roy Jones- ” Pratically a done deal”

It’s no secret that UFC middelweight Champion Anderson Silva wants to test his boxing skills against Roy Jones Jr. In recent interview Anderson Silva told Gracimag that the fight is practically a done deal.

“After my contract with the UFC ends and end my career in MMA, I intend to have a boxing match with Roy Jones. That’s something that’s already been arranged, it’s all practically a done deal, Silva said. Now I just have to wait and see”.

RJJ wins and Anderson makes more money then he did for his entire UFC career in one night.

The guy RJJ just TKOed would whoop Anderson's ass.

RJJ is still lightning fast, I was surprised how fast he in his last fight. Lost a few notches from his prime of course, but faster hands than anyone I've seen in MMA.

I think Anderson as we see him in his MMA fights would lose to RJJ, but who knows. Anderson knows how to surround himself with good people to train him, and maybe with some time exclusively working on his boxing, he could surprise us all. :dunno:

It takes a bit more then a training camp and talent to step up to a RJJ calibre boxer in a boxing match.

    .

I as well as the fact that MMA boxing is different from traditional boxing.

RJJ will go through A.Silva in a boxing match, but Silva will be a rich motherfucker after it.

Even though Anderson is probably going to lose badly, I'd still be interested in watching this fight. I'm sure afterwards all the boxing only peeps will be like "See. Those ultimate fighters can't hang with a real boxer"... but whatever. who cares what they think.

Oh Anderson will do alright he has solid basics and plenty of talent but disciplined boxing is something thats drilled into you and it takes years to make great technique as fluid as you see from the top boxers. The way they slip a punch the way they counter its all that drilled its 2nd nature Anderson doesnt see that in MMA.

With a whopping record of 1-0

I could be a pro boxer in the next 3 months if I wanted to. Doesn't mean I could beat RJJ or even low level club fighters. Fucking Jeff Monson is has a pro record.

    :ugh:

people thinking Silva can hang with a legendary boxer:fawk:

maybe if the guy worked his way up the ladder, not starting off with someone like RJJ.

RJJ at his prime with one arm tied behind his back would whoop Anderson

I thought Anderson is 1-1, got KO'd, and beat a guy with no record.

Either way his previous record has no bearing on his potential match with RJJ. Fact is no one has any idea how good his boxing is since we havent seen him box.
