    A .500 S&W looks like a .45/70, it's scary.

A handgun with energy comparable to the .30-06 is just wrong.

I don't know that I would buy one, but I sure as hell would like to put a few rounds through one. They're friggin huge, saw a 500 at a gun show here a few weeks ago.

.50 BMG pistol? Are you sure it wasn't a joke like Birdman? Like I said about the Zeliska, I'd rather not break my hand.

It would do alot less than a rifle or 12 ga. with buckshot.

Also the 44 mag will do 1300 ft lbs. of energy. I don't really see much of a point to the 500 other than something to show off to people with. A 44 mag will take any game animal that I would feel comfortable taking with a handgun.

real gun. sigforum member had a pix of it. the search feature sucks there so i wasn't very productive trying to look for it. IIRC it weight about 13 pounds, single shot.

if you wanna check outpics of the .50 BMG handgun go to www.securityarms.com Click on the link for 'all pages' and it's one of the top five guns listed there. I'd link it, but I'm at work and the filter they have set-up does not allow me to veiw 'weapons' pages... it sucks. but that gun is incredible. I'd love to just hold one.

It's not?¿? I haven't found anything to read up on it, just saw that pic. Figured they wouldn't post BS. But guess I was wrong. Thanx for straightenin' out.

no biggie, they actually have some "fake" guns on there. including the m41a pulse rifle from aliens.

Did you see the 'Ak experiment'? It's pretty odd, the barrel curves 90 degrees, the link says something about it being designed to help tank crews shoot enemies that are on the tank, without exposing themselves... Check it out.

I didn't see the gun from Aliens, I'll have to look at that.

I figured it was real, it's just odd. Maybe I'll write Gunney on Mail Call (I love that show) and see what he can tell us about it.

That'd be scary as hell to shoot then. I'll stick with my Ruger...
