    Guiz,
So I've recently started to focus on dating (being 25, never actually DATED a guy yet) and I was talking to this guy who is very nice, dorky cute, paid actor, etc BUT he has a fem voice which totally turns me off :wtc:

We said we were going to go on a coffee/date thing at the end of this week but I just texted him saying this week wasn't looking too good... mainly because I chickened out.

I know this is shallow, but I don't think I could be with gayvoice long term. Is there something wrong with me???

no. There is nothing wrong with that. If you don't feel like you could have a remote chance of being with him long term then abort. I did the same thing a few days ago. I went and met that guy I made the thread about and was just totally not feeling it. He was super gay and nerdy (not techy nerdy). Anyways, maybe I am shallow so thats why I agree but do what you feel like doing and follow your gut.

ps we should long-distance date :)

It doesn't really bother me. If I wasn't going to have to fuck him, it might not be a problem. I go from rock to noodle in .0001ms when i hear omghaayyyyyyy :wtc:

I guess it's the fact that I like dudes, not girls, soooooo a dude that sounds like a girl doesn't work (for me, anyway).

If it doesn't work, it doesn't work...don't led him to believe he has a chance, be honest and polite and tell him that you don't feel attracted to him...there is no need to extend that to an awful date where you wanna run away...

ok, so it's personal. i was wondering if it might have been because you geniunely like him but would be afraid to be seen with him or something. that would be lame.

it's what I was thinking. But instead of saying that, I'll just ignore him and maybe he'll take a hint. I don't like telling people that I'm not attracted to them. :/

It isn't shallow, but you would be suprised what you can get use-to and even find attractive given a little bit of time and effort. For example I really was turned off by hair, but then kinda-sorta dated this guy who was very hairy and actually found it attractive after a short while. But to each his own, and I also agree on the gayvoice being a big turn off.

Just because you're gay doesn't mean you will be attracted to every gay man. If you're not attracted to someone for whatever reason, you're just not attracted to them. You don't have to be an equal opportunity politically correct dater.

I don't think it's shallow. You should never date someone if there's an immediate dislike that big (something that can't be changed). Like clothes, body, hair, that can all be changed, voice..not so much lol
