Pretty kick ass if you ask me, 300hp. I'm sick of the Boxter being a car for cheap Porsche buyers.

I'd consider it. It is coming, BTW, and will be called the Cayman.

Am I the only one who thinks that this car will canibalize their own market? :dunno:

There's going to be soooo many ppl who don't want a 'chick' car boxster roadster, but also don't want to REALLY squeeze their budget and buy a 911, but would if they had to.

This cayman provides them w/ the easy way out. Sure, Porsche will sell alot of them, but I foresee their 997 sales dropping b/c of it.

BTW Chris87, I don't think it will cannibilize the 911 because IMO most people who have 911 models have money to spare.

I love how people that can't even spell boxster have so many opinions on the car...

About it canibalizing their own market, it's not like they'll be loosing any money, and the guys at Porsche do know what they are doing...

I think it will fill that void. People don't want the boxster since it is a bit fem, but can't afford the 911's due to cost. A Boxster coupe I think it will fill that grey area and with the hp rating, might actually show some power for a new SCCA car.

Great surprise you can't even understand what I was saying.
It's not about a typing mistake, it's the fact that people don't even know the NAME of the car, and yet call it a girly car, among other crap.
Oh, and if you're gonna call someone out for something as ghey as making a typing mistake you better make damn sure your shit is perfect, fucktard :mamoru:

I'll never understand why ppl say that.
Girly cars are usually worthless, while the boxster has really great handling and is awesome to drive.
Unless they say it's because it looks like a girly car, and then on a different discussion argue that more expensive porsches lose value because they look exactly like the boxster

I completely understand what you are trying to get across about the BOXSTER being a lot more capable than the girlie car rep (short for reputation in case they don't teach that in your English-as-a-second-language class) it has. But you stated, "I love how people that can't even spell boxster have so many opinions on the car...", calling the guy out for making a spelling mistake and using that as a basis to say this person doesn't know what he is talking about or even deserve to have an opinion because he "can't even spell boxster". Is that a criteria now? You have to know how to spell what you are talking about in order to have an opinion? Your point about the Boxster is valid, too bad nothing else about you really is. Thank goodness you’re in Portugal wasting their space instead of ours :slap:

Actually, no, you still didn't understand. As I said before, I wasn't calling anyone out for making a spelling mistake, but pointing out that he doesn't know that name. Slight yet important difference.
And yes, that is a criteria. It does show how much you may know about the car if you don't know it's name. It doesn't affect someone's right to have an opinion,it shows how valid it might be and it affects how that opinion is regarded by others. By some anyway.
And don't you ever say anything without resorting to personal attacks?

I kinda like it...but I'll have to see one in person. Sometimes you can't get the fullness of the car from pics. But...so far, so good. Not terribly keen on the name, but I'll just order mine with the rear script deleted.

They could have chosen something that doesn't sound like "gayman" so much...
I wish they would change the spoiler, it's too weird looking. An improvement over the boxster though
