Hey, bought myself a HK P2k today and was asking the worker what ammo he recommended for range shooting. i asked for something thats not too expensive not too dirty, but yet dont want shit ammo. i brought up Wolf since you guys seem to like it, but he said to go with American Eagle over Wolf. What you guys think? this is my first gun, its a 9mm if that makes a difference, i dont mind paying a little bit more for something thats a bit better. what do you guys recommend for range shooting? thanks

I definitely recommend WWB at walmart for just over $11. Ive tried Speer Lawman and Remington UMC which cost a little bit more and they all seemed to shoot the same: dirty. Keep in mind some ranges dont allow Wolf, also since youre in socal what range do you shoot at?

UMC is the dirtiest shit I've ever shot. I ran a box of 50 through my 357 and had to spend 2 hours getting it clean again. WWB and Remington green box are both cleaner and plenty cheap at Wal-mart.

i think ill go with the American Eagle for now, then try other brands out once i get a bit more comfortable. ive shot guns before, but that was awhile ago and this is my first gun.

bought the gun today, so about 9 more days till i can pick it up. i know of one shooting range in burbank, and TwoGuns on here told me about a few outdoor ranges in my area that im gonna check out when i pick up my HK.

im in La Crescenta/Glendale area, where you from?

San Clemente moving to RSM. The local range - On-Target sucks.

CCI Blazer. Cheaper and a LOT cleaner than UMC, WWB, and Wolf.
