GUN AMD-65 Kits

    I bought one for $200 this summer. After Copes sold out people were selling them for ~300. If you want a nice compact truck gun, it's pretty hard to beat an AMD. Plus they are a lot of fun too :)

    The only thing I don't like is the big ugly Tapco extended muzzle brake to bring the barrel to 16''. One of these days when I have an extra $200 I'll SBR it and bring it back to it's 12.5 inches of fire breathing glory.

    Weren't most people making pistols instead of sbr's?

    I think a lot of people did that. I'm not into the whole AK or AR pistol thing though. I like the stock on the AMD-65s a lot actually, besides having no cheek weld, it is a very sturdy folder.

    instead of SBRing it, couldn't you just put it on a pistol receiver, and then form 1 it into an AOW? $5 is cheaper than $200

    You lose the stock, but at that point it may not be needed.
