No problem bro. Your setup is great! I'm envious of the clear skies you seem to have; reminds me of when I lived in Arizona, except I had a lot of city lights to deal with.

If I had critiques I would say the credits take too long to roll; if you slowed down the FPS for the videos you could stretch the animation to fill the music. Just an idea.

Another thing I'd love to see would be like, a 24-hour video from the same location. Obviously you'd have to adjust the exposure throughout the daytime portion, but that could be cool.

A movie I've seen that's really awesome from a region with four seasons is a 365-frame movie, with a shot taken at noon each day. Probably best if you started with the summer solstice (21 December in your neck of the woods, eh?) because the sun is highest in the sky and therefore the wide-angle-ness is maximized there... but then you get the sun's figure-8 motion in the sky with the changing seasons FTW. :big grin:

Thanks Jaime. I always appreciate suggestions to try out. I am waiting for the cash for a wider lens to continue developing this technique as I reckon it has huge potential. So far, the trial and error has been gradually improving with each attempt. The FPS settings can be played with a little, but must be kept to a point where the transitions between frames remain smooth. if you see the first one, the frames were captured 30 seconds apart, but played back at 15 FPS. Fairly jerky as you can see. If I speed up the playback, then the two seconds of movement is hardly worth watching.

If you look at the later ones, they are taken 8 seconds apart, and I went for hours. A lot more frames there to experiment with playback speeds, plus closer capture intervals so less jerky.

I really want to go back to the dish again and shoot it as you said, for an entire 24 hour period. Full moon and Clouds notwithstanding, I can't wait to get amongst it!
