Am I using this wrong? v.situps

    I joined a new gym, they don't have the situp bench that I am used to. They only have these two pictured above. I am 6'6" and they both don't feel very comfortable to me.

    The closest one in the picture I have been using by pretty much sticking my dick in between that crack and bending forward to do sit ups the opposite way. It really isn't doing much but making my lower back really tight.

    The one further out seems like it's supposed to be a situp bench, but it's really fucking awkward. Are these used for something else?

    :o:o:o:o I would ask somebody there, but I show up late and nobody is ever there.

    The reason why it's making your back tight is because you're doing a back exercise. Using that bench the way you are is not going to do much for your abdominals. Although I can only see part of the bench in the background, it looks like that is what you're going to want to be using if you want to do more of a "situp". You're going to want to put your feet under the pads and do situps that way. However, those can be difficult if you're just starting out so you may want to do some standard situps on the ground or a pad before you use that bench.

    close one is for side bends and back extensions, NOT sit ups.


    Pic cuts out some of the other one. If there's a spot to hook your legs, then yes you can do sit ups on it.

    Uh the one in front is for 45 degree hypers... it works your back.

    There is, but it just feels weird, I guess I need to get used to it.

    Do weighted movements (standing abs w/cables, decline crunches, medicine ball crunches), rotational movements (woodchoppers, landmines, etc), and some leg raise variation.

    Sit ups dont really do dick.
