    No, lots of people do dumbell flys including myself. I like them much better than machine flys because the fly machine has aids on it.

    what i really meant to ask was, does anybody else get a popping noise on the down motion in their shoulders.

    like popping my muscles. only with my shoulder.

    over and over and over again.

    I've always done flys, never had any shoulder problems because of them.

    i like cable flies because gravity doesn't become a factor. I think flies are good for the finishing touches on muscle. Keep the mass building to compound movements IMO

    Thanks, but the funny part is it only has pain on FLYES. No other shoulder movements have any effect

    i do them every week...up to 110's
