you need a garand, carbine, or thompson for SPR. I have watched SPR and BoB before while fondling either my garand or carbine :o

I guess I don't watch them for any particular gun... but I do watch them just because they do have guns in them, and I am a lover of all firearms. Plus those types of movies tend to have lots of action... me likez akshun.

When you say watch them with the guns does that mean you're holding the gun while you watch?

I've watched movies then felt the need to go clean my guns before. They were dirty and needed the cleaning, but it was motivated by the movies.

Or movies will make me want a certain type of gun, but that fades in a day or two.

That was me just last night. Was sitting there watching COPS and said... "You know what fucker? You're going to get off your lazy ass after this show is over, and show your gun some love. Clean it real nice. Lazy shit."
Then I says to myself in response, "Okay."
    The End.

I'm pretty meticulous when it comes to cleaning my guns. There's only a handful of times that I've let them go for a little while before cleaning them. I even cleaned my brother's ak before after he went a week before cleaning it. But, when you're bored might as well do something enjoyable.

Depends which guns, my SAR1 and WASR2 haven't been cleaned at all in a few thousand rounds, m4gery is upto 1k or so. I generally only clean after a range trip if I've been shooting corrosive ammo, or if the gun really needs it. Exceptions are my more valuable guns they'll get cleaned after every range trip

I clean even my Nagant after each use. The first time I had some casings with some live primers I wanted to spend, but never got around to using it with actual ammo since the guys property I was on let me use his Remmy 700 instead.
I then took it home and cleaned it to see how dirty just the rpimers make the barrel. Only 3 primers, and the bore patch was black. :ugh:

I'll usually hold it/fondle it for a few mins then set it down on the couch beside me. Rinse and repeat
