Am I fucking myself by only eating a 160 cal breakfast?

    I'm currently 6 ft 1, 176, trying to lose probably 8-10 more pounds for full ab visibility. I have never had abs in my life and my goal is to have them by spring break (2nd wk in March).

    I was eating 1800 cal/day and losing slowly (less than 1 lb/wk) before break. I maintained that over break, but I feel like I need to accelerate that loss to hit my goal.

    So now I'm eating 1600 cal/day for the past week, and I dont seem to be losing a whole lot either. Doing 20-25 mins cardio after lifting 4 days/wk.

    Heres what I eat

    bkfst: 1 egg, 1.2 cup egg whites
    workout
    pwo: 2 scoops whey, 1 cup lowfat yogurt
    lunch: tuna cheese wrap
    snack: apple + cheese stick
    dinner: 8-10 oz chicken and veggies + sweet potato
    post dinner snack: 2 cans tuna

    I think that covers it, but I'm diligent w/ dailyburn and every day I'm right under 1600. Do you guys think I need to eat more cals for breakfast to get my metabolism going? I'd be willing to try that, but I'm pretty much hungry from the time I finish working out until dinner time, so Itd suck to eat even less at those meals.

    good progress so far but a 160 cal breakfast is way too small.

    and 1600 cals a day too little, why did you drop it? if you were still seeing results on 1800 (even though that is still pretty low) stick with that until its not working anymore. i would even go with 2000 if you are still able to drop weight at that caloric level (albeit at a slower pace)

    don't forget that a six pack is made of muscle. you keep losing weight by starving yourself like you are now then you will get scrawny as hell but there will be no actual ab muscle to show because your body can't maintain any muscle on the diet of a mid-sized poodle.

    I should clarify that I dont track my sauces every day because its a pain in the ass, but with salsa on my eggs and tuna, mustard on my sammiches, ketchup or mustrard with dinner it adds up to btwn 70-100 cals/day which isnt included in that screenshot.

    I guess I got impatient. 1800 was working, but real slow... I guess I will bump it back up and up my cardio to like 45 mins/day? Thats actually kind of a releif. This 1600 shit is fucking miserable.

    I know, working on it brew. I lift hard 4 days/wk and I am diligent about getting my pwo meal ASAP after the gym.

    My 'breakfast' before the gym is probably less than yours, That's IF I have something to eat.

    I'm still consistently getting stronger :dunno: I've just never had abs in my life, so I really want to finish getting rid of all my flab before I worry about getting big. I'm on the tail end of losing 50+lbs, so I want to be sure to lose all that I have to lose before anything else.

    Man, maybe a little, subconsciously...but I've been eating so little that I'd much rather have a chunk of meat than some pansy ass rice to get my cals.

    Yogurt is AM, wrap on my sammich is mid day, apple is at like 4 or 5 right before spinning class(3-4 days/wk)
