I've been watching my food intake for the last three days.

I've been averaging about 200g carbs per day and about 90g protein per day.

Is this to many carbs in a day? Should I be eating more protein?

I'm consuming about 2000 calories per day and I weigh about 155lbs.

More protein. Carbs might be on the low side if you're trying to bulk.

what kinda exercise are you doing? i'm thinking 200 grams protein, 100 grams carbs, and 50-60 grams of healthy fats. how tall are you also?

I'm doing an elliptical machine for about 30 minutes and then doing my work out routine for about 30-45 minutes. It usually consists of 3 sets of working that muscle with 10 reps per set. I can usually fit in 4 or 5 sets per muscle group.

    I'm about 5' 7".

More fat in your diet than protein ay? I like it. I think its been proven, on here, that you only need 90g of protein a day, but be sure to space it out because you can only absorb ~35gs at a time.

Are egg yolks something that I really want to cut out?

I had two over-easy this morning for my protein, but I didn't cut out the yolk.

To answer your question, yes you are eating too many carbs. if you're goal is to lose a little belly fat, then you're having way too much fun with the carbs.

try around 150 protein, 100-125 carbs and about 60-80 good fats then gradually decrease the carbs a little over a few weeks

you still didn't specify what your goals were... do you want to look thinner? gain muscles?

200g of carbs are fine (that's on the low side for me)... i would just moderate the energy expenditure and just how your body adjusts.

So you suggest 1800 cals max and gradually decrease it over the next couple of weeks?

    Explain this method.
