about a half hour before i go to the gym I eat about 1 tbs of smuckers natty organic PB on 1 slice of wheat bread and when I get home I have 1 scoop of ON whey and dinner. am i eating enough before i go to the gym?
I do 20 minutes of HIIT, then I lift if that matters

i used to never eat before i trained, and now that i'm eating right, which is usually 1 can tuna, 1/2 cup rice, dressing, and a spoonful of PB, I notice a big difference in how sore I am afterwards and how much energy I have throughout

not sure where the cutoff is though between enough and too little :dunno:

it sounds ok but don't only eat before you lift. eat lots throughout the day...meals with high protein are great. refer to Pur's "wanna look like a bodybuilder" , and check out the sample diet he has, it will give you an idea of what you should be eating like.

its the meal you eat prior to the pre-workout meal that gives you the energy you need. i probably wouldnt have alot of fats before a workout though.

Well are you cutting or bulking? If your bulking I'd eat some more carbs pre-workout.

It's the whole day that really matters, peri-workout nutrition it's just a tweak to be done once your daily eating is fine (not perfect, fine).

thats fine... I'd recommend splitting up your post workout, thought. Immediately get that protein shake and a carb source in you; your body is craving them. Then eat your dinner like an hour later.
