theres 16 ounces in a pound right?

and if i got .85lbs then i take 85% of 16 giving me 15 ounces. then if i ate 1/2 of the 15 ounces of salmon and 1/2 of the 15 ounces of flounder then i ate 50+53g of protein if that's true that's awesom

85% of .85lbs is 11.56oz. 0.5x11.56=5.78oz

WTF???

this is not difficult math

first of all, .85lbs is .85 x 16 , which is 13.6oz, not 15. Then, you look up the nutritional data for salmon (or flounder) but lets just assume salmon. It has about 90g of protein per lb. So .85 x 90 = 76.5 g/ protein.

Also, this is uncooked, you're going to lose some weight in cooking but let's not worry about that for now.

ok one guy said 13.6..well two and one said 11.56. so im not the only stupid one. someone else was wrong. i'll go with the 13.6 since it was posted twice. it doesnt have to be real accurate anyways..i'm not that anal about it..just anal enough to post this thread

Mine was wrong. I thought you were saying you were taking 85% of the .85lbs.

don't take my word for it, take a calculator and type .85 x 16 and see what you get !
