I feel no soreness at all even when I up the weights and do it to exhaustion...

I'm pinching my shoulder blades back as much as I can go, are you supposed to squeeze them together the entire time? Even dips don't do much for me...if I feel any soreness it's in my arms shoulders and armpits :/

maybe your chest is stronger than your shoulders and arms, and that's why you feel exhaustion/strain in your shoulders/tris more.

yeah but youre also training for PL are you not? on a BB split i am sore all the time everywhere. when a muscle becomes unsore the next muscle takes over.

    Is your chest
    1. Getting stronger?
    2. Getting bigger?

If the answer is "no" to both of the above questions (given that you're eating,s leeping, etc), you're probably doing something wrong. If yes, then who cares if you're sore?

Muscle soreness is not a good indicator of how well you worked a certain muscle.

pre-exhausting your pecs would be like doing light flys before doing your compound movements.

do a few sets of 15 reps of flys before you bench if you want to pre-exhaust. you will be putting less weight on the barbell but you'll be hitting your chest harder when you bench.

Also, your symptoms seem to point to you using too narrow a grip.

do slower reps and squeeze your chest tight through and especially at the end of every single rep

I do a BB split now, I may be doing it wrong but I still don't get sore.

    Some options:

    Widen your grip
    Change exercises
    Use a slower eccentric
Incorporate a pause at the bottom position

I think this is the big one, pausing at the bottom really lets you focus on using your chest to push the weight.

don't you have ridiculously wide shoulders? that might be why, a comp grip to you is proportional to a narrow grip to most people.

well im gathering he doesn't get sore period

i am sore all the time, 24/7.. i dont know how you not get sore if you bust your ass. i mean if youre just lollygaggin it yeah i can see no soreness.. or low volume.. when i did upper/lower splits i was never sore. i get much better gains doing bodypart splits personally.
