I seem to have fun when I am with friends, but most of the time I'd rather be alone. I always seem tired and no matter when i wake up I am ready to go right back to bed. I just dont know i this is a phase or something serious.

I don't think you gave us enough information.
Are you involved in any hobbies or activities? Do you go to the gym? Are you getting enough sleep?

Most kids my age are living on something like 4 to 6hrs of sleep. I don't know how they do it (well, caffeine...). I get about 8hrs and that's barely enough to keep me going through the day.

From those 3 sentences it just sounds to me like you're not sleeping well or not sleeping enough. Off that, just make sure you're getting some exercise in the day and get to bed at a decent time.

100% wrong. What are your sleeping habits? Wanting to be alone is not depression, that could just mean you are fairly introverted and being in constant contact with people can be tiring.

It sounds like you may be depressed. I know that I suffer from this, and I am depressed as well.

That is one of the signs of depression.

maybe situational depression. any new events life changes take place recently. it happenes and my best advice is to talk to someone, personal friends about it and get it cleared up before it gets worse.

if you were really depressed you'd know it... chances are you aren't, because you'd say you feel like shit, not describe your sleeping habits.

:ugh: Drinking and partying isn't the key to fixing depression.

You could very well be depressed... although you didn't state whether you were okay feeling that way or not.
You may have just realized that you enjoy having some time to yourself. :dunno:
What types of things do you think about when alone? Are they negative thoughts? Do you read? Watch TV? As long as you're not catastrophizing, I believe that having some alone time can be quite beneficial

Are you getting a normal amount of sleep every night? Do you stay asleep?

For right now, I'd suggest you continue talking and hanging out with your friends. Try your best to avoid isolating yourself from others.

If you really do feel that you may be depressed, and you've felt that way for a while now, you should probably find a doctor to discuss this with.

    Good luck. :)
