I joined the army as a 15G (airframe mech) and havent really learned anything and dont really get the sense of service I have wanted. So Ive started communications with my sgt and am considering reclassing into 11b. Opinions? Thoughts?

As a pilot I would much rather have you be happy as a grunt, than be disgruntled as an airframe mech and working on my aircraft.

he can re-enlist to go needs of the army no problem at all once he is in his window.

there are jobs in the army that are not very military-esque. it depends on what each person wants. if you want to be in the shit, then be in it. if you want college money, then earn it. if you want to hang out for 4 years, then stay where you are.

where are you at right now?

i have a wife and son, so i am happy where i am. in no way, shape, or form am i hiding from any place on earth, but i simply enjoy the time i have right now.

some people have a killer instinct and i say go for it. it is better than unleashing from a clock tower in texas...or shooting up a school.

youre not crazy, infact if you talk to some people around you im sure youre not alone, i feel the same way about joining the navy, i like it, and i like my job in it, but i always felt like i wanted to do...something different i guess...so since i got to my ship i was applying for blue to green, volunteering for IA's, and trying to crossrate into something id rather be doing...first thread response was perfect actually
