frankly I don't care, I won't cry I am just curious more than anything

I been busting my balls to rep 1 plate on bb bench, took me 2-3 month, I ran into a guy today complete newbie who was doing 45's :coolugh: ... and I always notice newbies putting up higher #'s...not that I care, and I understand that there's more to working out then bench press, so I posted my #'s below in the training log...keep in mind this is after 3 month

oh and for those who will take the 5 minutes to look

teh weight I listed there when it's BB is only on 1 side fo the bar...so *2 + 45(bar) :hs:
other then that it's DB it's good weight, and machine is machine

again I am curious more than anything, and I am not going to give up

The way I see it, is that some people are just naturally stronger than others. Also different activities besides weightlifting can increase strength. I was like you and much weaker than others who were also just starting out. It took me forever to get to where you arem even with solid nutrition and training. I was just weak and fat.

people from all walks of life start working out at different times, if ever. A construction worker is probly going to put up more weight than an office worker given the same age/weight. 3 months isnt that long, youll get higher eventually.

    cool

I know it takes time to build it up and I understand some people are just stronger then others

but I also figured there's people who were weaker then the norm and I was beginning to think I fit there cause I feel my #'s are low

but then I take a step back and realize I haden't played any sports for about 5 years...and I been an office/school brat, it's understandable

as long as I keep it up, I am only going upwards
I am also getting back into hockey and soccer now that summer's here...should help with overall strenghts hopefully

could be worse. could be a fatass like me. but I've always been able to hit 225 on the bench since I was a teen.

but let's not talk about my legs.

I recently read the max-ot article, I am not doing that particular training method right now but it still has some good info about how to warm up properly, which I tested out last night and got a new record, like the author said I would. Get it from here

    http://www.freedomfly.net/Documents/MAX-OT.pdf

and search for "warming up the right way."

Or just read it all, it's a good read.

everyone is different, you shouldn't compare yourself to others. As long as you experience progress that's all that maters.

I started lifting about 3 months ago and went from 35x10 DB bench press to 60x5 yesterday. Last time I did BB bench was 3-4 weeks ago and I did 135x5 unassissted. I think I could hammer out 10 reps now at 135 now though. I guess I'll have to try next week.

What are your dl and squat numbers??
    I'm doing 295x3 for dl
and 155x5 for squat right now.

I was a dumbass and didn't take everyone's advice for the first 2 month regarding squats and DL's so I didn't do them

but I started diong them finally, and now DLs and squats are my favorite exercises ...and my #'s have been going up in those 2 steadily

    squats it's 155 (55 on each side + bar..I did this last night) for 5 and 3
and DL's it's 185 (45+25 + bar), I am going tonight and going to kill it :o - for 5 and 3 as well I think, they are in my log
