Alternatives to Vertical Blinds?

    I'm currently renting a house with 3 of my friends and I have the upstairs master with a balcony. It has a sliding glass door and ugly vertical blinds

    They look similar to this:

    I was just wondering what I can do as an alternative, cuz those blinds suck.

    sheers? i need something for a rental house, so nothing permanent.

    I was thinking of getting a curtain or some fabric and punching holes in it and clipping them on

    Is there something better for a window that is about 2'x9'?
