Just bought my iMac 24' 2.8Ghz and it was great. Im a photographer by hobby and has started to get into business specializing in architectural and nature photography

I had a look at Apple Aperture and was close of buying it but has found out it doesn't support cataloging.

Can you tell me what should I look for that comes with RAW processing, cataloging and post production. Everything in one or should I look at separately?

    Cheers

What do you mean cataloging? Apertures primary role is to "catalog" your images. You can control exactly how it does that.

I'm in the process of switching everything to Lightroom.
I hate the way that iPhoto and Aperture manage the libraries.

With light room you can leave pictures in their current location and just go at it from there. Plus, its interface is sexy, too.

you can do that in aperture too...it's just how you load the image.
