Ok so im getting married in october of this year... and my fh and I have to pick a song to dance to at the reception.... we dont realy have a "song" so we have to come up with one i dont want to do the traditional rnb or pop love song i was thinking more toward the side of alternative music. Can any one give me some ideas of good Alternative style love songs? Please help i want our first dance as husband and wife to be perfect and the song will have a lot to do with it.

    thanks:x:

Sufjan Stevens- To Be Alone With You, it's somewhat slow and not really on the whole marriage track but the whole theme is quite romantic

Sorry... not a fan. The 311 version is considerably more up to date sounding, IMO. The Cure's version just sounds cheezy to me. :hsd:

90% of the above listed arent even close to alternative

    Smashing pumpkins are good
    Depeche mode would work
The cure is a great one

    all in all though

I was looking through all the alt songs I have...almost all of them are about breaking up etc, it's depressing :X

    Flyleaf- There-for-you is pretty good.

    Ha, probably "Truly, Madly, Deeply."

Now when you say Love Songs, do you mean Ballads or just any song about love?
