Alright, so what's the final word on pot and lifting?

    I've heard a million different things about this subject...pot raises your metabolism so you burn more calories at rest when you smoke pot raises your estrogen levels so it's bad for lifting, etc. etc. etc.

    What's the final word? Is a little indulging every now and again going to severely limit progress with lifting? Could the supposed "metabolic quickening" factor actually help? somebody fill me in

    Raising your metabolism doesn't help when you're chugging down your 4th box of Pop Tarts and 5th 2 liter of Pepsi @ 2am. :coolugh:

    I don't really have a problem not munching out when I'm high though, especially if I'm not bulking.

    There's a lot of different thoughts on this. Overall, if you don't do it everyday and can keep your "munchie" eating in control you're fine.

    its watever you put in during your workouts, period. hell, some people workout blazed, its watever gets you motivated.

    only effects my breathing, but I don't claim to be a cardio superstar...

    as far as getting bodybuilder jacked, you could smoke every day as long as you lift hard and keep your diet in check

    ps - it in no way raises estrogen, that's a myth

    I enjoy smoking every day but doing that just makes me feel lazy :o I wanna just bite the bullet and get a vape so I can still get the creative benefits and focusing abilities without the cloudy head and fucked up lungs

    its fine as long as you can control the munchies. yes, its not good for your lungs but if you're okay with that its not a big deal. might fuck with existing gyno, too.

    this is the same guy who said he can only bench 15lb dumbbells and made a thread asking if drinking 1-2 beers/night would hinder his progress.. looks like now hes incorporating weed into that as well :rofl:
