she tested to be pregnant. its been around 5-6 weeks i believe and shes starting to bleed like as she is on her period and as she describes little pieces of who knows what (she describes them as like the size of hairs or something?) what is going on here, has she had a miscarriage or what? :eek3:

wtf kind of doctor are you going to?? Most doctors can get you in for a cold the same or next day. They must just think she's on her period and you guys are overreacting. You should've just called up and yelled "my girlfriend is pregnant and she's bleeding!!!"

    .

any good doctor should have told her to come in the day you called. go to urgent care, go to the ER, whatever. get her to a doctor.

    urgent care now.

Unless you live in south georgia like me and they've closed all the UC centers because it's more profitable to make everyone go to the ER. In that case go to the ER. But GO SOMEWHERE, JESUS!

not everyone has good health insurance folks...especially young people. ER visits are expensive...usually at least 500 for walking into the little room in the back and having the doctor walk in the room 30 minutes later, and a few grand if they "run tests". Last time my wife had abdominal pain that she thought was a UTI infection, the ER bill was 4 grand for 3 hours and some "tests" that were inconclusive, and they gave her a script for hydros and sent us home.

Having pains in your stomach that you think's a UTI isn't the same as a pregnant girl bleeding profusely from her vagina :dunno:

It's not uncommon for a girl to bleed a little while she's pregnant. Spotting is very normal. Sometimes a girl has regular periods while pregnant (not so normal, but has happened).

Seriously, this isn't something you take a chance on. If ANYTHING happens that you aren't sure about, you need to call a doctor at the very least, and go to the doctor (recommended).

I understand that, but I dont see how that relates to what I was saying. If you dont have good (or any) health insurance as a young person then visits to the ER can be cost prohibitive. And half of the time when it is something little like that, they don't find out what is wrong with you anyway, they send you home with generic advice like "get some rest for a day or 2" and a couple of prescriptions.

If you can't pay for ER you don't.
Also if you can't afford to pay to take care of a baby you shouldn't be having one.
