I've tried hitting up Walmart and Meijer, as well as a couple other stores and nobody seems to have anything in stock. I have a CCW class coming up and I need to bring ~300 rounds with me. I currently have about 50. Basically I'm getting desperate enough to pay shipping on ammo :wtc: Where should I order from? I've checked the links in the sticky and I don't know which is the most reliable :o

you have to hit up the stores daily or every other day.

last friday night there were 25 boxes of WWB 100pk at a walmart by me, all gone by 10am the next day.

ive been lucky a couple times and found a case (500rd) of wwb at academy and 5 100rd boxes at walmart the other day.

  3. Do none of your local gun stores have 9mm, even at crazy prices?

Palmetto State has 1 type available, but depending on when your class is, you might not have time to wait for them to ship it, and then receive it.

My local store has it for $13.xx a box for Magtech. Not a bad price considering it's the same online.

Have you tried Vance's? They have PMC 50 rds for $10.99, or $9.99 per if you buy 10 or more. They used to have the same deal on WWB, and they might still.

Well, the minimum is 150 rounds but we're going to basically have the run of an indoor/outdoor range, so the CHL instructor advised us to bring more for drills, etc.

Usually they have stacks of cases behind the counter. I haven't been by there since people started ammo-spazzing so I'm not sure if they're selling out more quickly now or not.

P-chan, I'm right down the street from Vance's so I'll stop by on my lunch break and let you know how much they have.

 Much appreciated. I'll probably pick up 500 rounds or so if they have it.

I've seen plenty of it in local gun shops for uber inflated prices. I wouldn't buy it at a 40% markup, but if you really need it, then that may be your only option.

Pretty much all large retail type stores around me (walmart, dick's, bass pro, etc) have been pretty much completely empty lately.

its completely random. try finding a rather rural WalMart. You might get lucky. I've usually been going in every 3 days or so. Have found a few 50-round boxes here and there.

My two local "rather rural" Wal-Marts have been out of 9mm regularly now for about 2 months. When I first got my 9mm, I was able to pick up a box during grocery shopping, no biggie. Now I just cruise by on the way to hardware or automotive out of curiosity. They're always out of nearly everything.

    1. Go to Walmart
    2. Ask sporting goods clerk what time they get shipments and what time they stock the shelves. They get them everyday at the same time but they wont know what's coming in.
    3. Call them when they are stocking and ask if they have so and so caliber.

Vance's was all out of 9mm - WWB and PMC. I did swing by Walmart though and picked up their last 10 boxes of 50 rd. Blazer Brass. If you want I'll sell you 5 boxes at cost - they were $8.97 a box.

Buy some reloading gear and never worry about it again.

2 weekends ago I loaded 1300 9mm rounds. It cost me around $40.

Free brass, and free bullets. Powder and primers bought long ago in volume deals.

Brass comes from buddies who save their brass for me (they don't reload). Bullets came from a bucket of wheel weights I had laying around. Casting your own bullets is cool. I was using a buddies setup to do all the actual work.

Though that casting shit is kinda dirty. I probably developed at least 5 kinds of cancer doing it I felt like.

See above. I was using some Lee pot to melt the shit, and I dunno who's molds. Once I got the correct flow down, it was cake. All bullets were between 124 and 125 grains. :)

Kinda dirty to shoot though, but I didn't notice any real leading. I wasn't running them too hard though.
