    What do you guys think of the Alpine Subs? Mine were stolen last night and I'm in the market for new ones.

    I'm looking at the 10" ones. Here are the specs. My knowledge is really limited and I don't really know know what's good.

    2 alpine 10 inch type R's
    alpine V-power 75x4 amp
    5 1/4 alpine R components x2

    not the best stuff money can buy but not the worst

    Alpine sucks in my opions unless ure going for an SQ setup!

    Well, I don't know what an SQ set up is. But I'll keep that in mind. I guess their head units are better than their subs.

    SQ = Sound Quality
    SPL = Sound Pressure Level (or something like that)

    the alpine type r subs are decent.. nothing special

    i wouldnt ever use their amps

    Try audiobahn. I have a 1300hcx amp (1200 watts) and 2 1200X audiobahn subs (700 watts each) and a 1 farad ACAP3X audiobahn capacitor as well as a custom built enclosure. Lemme tell u. This system rules to hell. Gain is only set at 20% and at times it feels my hatch will blow off. Look into audiobahn.... u wont be dissapointed.

    /////ALPINE type-R's are mainly an SQ sub, but they do pound.

    why would he back step, if he's looking at /////ALPINE??? it's like looking at a BMW with money in hand, but settling for a honduh because someone thinks it looks cooler.
