Its only a $50 difference. The 9833 has the v drive 26x4rms. It also has a 6 band parametric eq as compared to the 4 band that the 9831 has. Worth it IMO.

Thats how I got mine, and I think I got it even a little lower too. Brand new, unopened. Then after I got it I realized I didn't need the 26x4 RMS since I already had an amp for my speaks :o Oh well...the 6band EQ is nice...

check crutchfield as well if youre interested in warranties at all. they have really good deals going on many times and its nice that they come with everything needed to install it for free and free shipping.
i picked up my girl a 9830 for 299 shipped with everything needed to install it and inscrutions helped out a ton.

FYI you can get a 9833 from DJDILLIODON for $380 shipped. HE is an authorized dealer and you do get a warranty. He has been the most helpful person I have talked to. Catch him on AIM under djdilliodon.

$380? that seems kinda high... Good Guys was selling the 9833 for $270 a couple months back.

VERY sure. I bought one at the time -- but I returned it because I wasn't too happy with it. If I had known the price was so great, I would have kept it to sell it

Good Guys was also authorized, so you got the warranty and everything. And since it's local -- no shipping. I know it wasn't a mistake because the one I went to was sold out, but they could reserve one via computer at the other local store, and I just went to pick it up.

Either send a link or don't post. Most places cost is around $289.

You guys missed the biggest difference of them all...Bass Engine Pro on the 33 and only Plus on the 31. The 33 will have a 3 way(front/rear/sub or high/mid/low), 6 positioin freq/slope/level adjustable HP/LP xover whereas the 31 will have a 2 way(front,rear/sub) 3 position freq adjustable HP/LP xover.

My HU has the Bass Engine Plus xover and I've always wished I had the better xover.

A retail store is not going to sell that below their own cost.

So the 33 needs a 10guage wire connected directly to the battery?

From what I understand you can run it to the ignition and 10guage is not necessary. Thats how mine was wired up.
