Seems to me most anime that surpass about 30 eps become boring and longer then it needs to be.

Examples of bad animes over 30 eps:
    DBZ
    Inuyasha
Hajime no ippo(really wasn't as good as many people said)
    Kenshin(after eps 65 was shitty)

Examples of good animes under 30 eps:
    scrapped princess
    last exile
    evangelion

    and many more

hard to keep something fresh for a long time :dunno:

24 seems about the right time for a show to develope and end gracefully. :dunno:

i think a lot of the 24-26 series have at least a few filler eps that they could really do without. sometimes it feels like it just breaks the flow of the story.

ex: i didn't like the couple eps in the middle of scrapped princess when pacifica lost her memory and was staying with that shannon-wannabe guy. maybe i just missed the point tho :dunno:

True but as a whole it is more solid than many anime which are over 30 eps.

Kenshin sucked becasue the manga wasn't finished so they had to make up a bunch of stupid shit after the kyoto arc. If the rest of the manga was animated then it would've been a very kick ass series.

DBZ was suppose to end at Namik(sp) i think but the producers of the show wanted to pump out more stories.

Card Captor Sakura is probably the best anime over 30 eps IMO.

Naruto isn't a bad 30+ ep show, but overall i agree the 2 season shows tend to be better

While I enjoyed GTO, thought the ending of the anime was a let down. But I do realize that the manga was not completed yet. I am going to have to get my hands on the manga to see what happens after okinawa

I am starting One Piece and I'm only on episode 18 out of like 180 something but I hear that this series is still running strong. And I really like One Piece so far.

I definetly agree though a lot of series just drag on, like Getbackers after the Infinite fortress arc just went downhill.

    Oh and Ippo rules!!!!

As much as I love Starblazers that show was repetitive like NO OTHER.

The end all solution = firing the wave motion gun

Never have I seen a One Piece episode where I felt it was getting repetitive. I implore you to keep watching!

I recently rewatched Gundam Wing... 49 episodes is too damn much.

I wish some shows went on a few more episodes though, like SDF Macross and Escaflowne. :sad2:

Manga is the way to go! The perfect example would be DBZ.

Hunter x Hunter is an anime that still went strong after 60+ episodes and you can still see character development that needs maturation. Definitely not as high profile an anime as some of the aforementioned ones.
