Got to Walmart after 10, they were stocking the shelves with WWB and Brazer Brass 9mm. Told me they couldnt sell after 9 (state law), come back in the morning.

Well I wasnt going to get up at 7, got there at 11. All out of WWB, but they had 11 boxes of Brazer 9mm that I bought so it wasnt a total loss :hs:

They had tons of Federal 100 packs of 223 btw.

Turns out it was a city law that wouldnt let them sell past 9.

Blazer Brass is pretty good. I say you did well.
How much were those Blazer Brass? (They are 50 ct boxes I assume)

9mm was $9 plus tax, 45 was $15. Got a few boxes of 45 as well.

Seriously... When is this going to stop??

My local walmart only has a guy working the sporting goods section until 9PM. Don't know if there are any laws restricting ammo sales after that time...

Worst part is I dont even have a 9mm. But I dont want to be screwed when I finally find a CPO P226 and build my 9mm AR.

Was at Wal-Mart around 5pm yesterday. They showed me the shipping sheet ... "QTY: 10, WWB Value Packs 9mm". But they were just unloading it and said it would be at least an hour or so. I had to go take my daughter somewhere ... came back at 6:30 and it was all gone.

Went to another Wal-Mart at 7pm and was told the same thing... "there's some WWB 9mm on the truck, but we haven't unloaded it yet". I didn't have time to wait around but I didn't go back since I'm sure it was gone pretty quickly.

If anything, it sounds like they are starting to get more ammo in.

No kidding... I have a pretty nice stock pile (nothing too extreme, but enough). I've been hesitant to go shooting and start using up my supply though until it becomes more readily available.

In ND we can buy ammo 24 hrs a day. Its not uncommon for me to get off work at 130/2 am and buy up all the ammo I want. But lately we've had NO pistol ammo except .38 and some other goofy caliber. We have TONS of federal .223 200rd value packs at 76 a box.

In my experience, Wal-Mart employees confuse company policy with Federal/State/Local law constantly.

I went to the local walmart today. Had plenty of .40 WWB, but out of every other pistol caliber. seemed like they recently got the Federal .223 100 rnd boxes for $40, as I don't remember seeing them last time I was there.

They also got some .22lr bricks in. So I ask the guy to get me 2 of the Federal packs. First one he pulls out has the bottom drop out, and all 550 .22lr rounds scatter on the floor in the middle of the aisle. I quickly got my 2 bricks and headed for the checkout.

just went to walmart tonight, i believe we can buy ammo at any time. there was no one working the counter and i saw a single pack of .223 varmint 45gr crap. so i just went behind the counter and took it, and paid up front with everything else. that was the last of the common calibres on the shelf :wtc:
