I was feeling fucking good today for whatever reason. DLing 405 felt like nothing. I worked my way up to 500 and got 4 reps out. On the last rep I couldn't hold it any longer and had to drop the weight. My training partner said some lady muttered "is that really necessary?" then went to the front desk to complain. 30 seconds later the 140lb tool that works the front desk came over and told us we can't slam the weights. I told him that if I couldn't DL there then there was no point in going. He replied that's just the rules and walked off. After that I was going to go for a PR of 565 (not getting me into the Olympics or strong man anytime soon but good for me) but didn't even bother because I would have surely dropped the weight after that. GOD DAMN MOTHERFUCKERS, just let me deadlift in peace. Old people stick to 24hr and curves for god sakes.
