I have a forum for my site and its running punbb

I disabled html for the fear that the forum could get hacked and someone could do an http redirect and redirect my users to any page they want including a page that would put virises on my members computers.

I saw this done a few years ago.
Should I fear this today? or do you think this is ok to have html on a forum?
im not technical so if something messes up It will take a while to fix it.

if you are not technical, you are better off not allowing it.
