true, depends on the kind of car you have though... MKII and MKI forums aren't too bad. and Tech forums are dumbass free as well.

I used to frequent the pre-b5 passat area all the time. It probably used to be the best forum there, but now even its filled with alot of "will 18's fit?" or "what do you guys think of these wheels?"

And on a related note to your car, what kind of tires are those?

  10. peoplescar

    peoplescar Guest

they are regular black walls with Port-a-Wall white walls on them and rabbit hub caps... the portawalls are just a white wall ring you put between the bead of the tire and the actual tire.

its a lot cheaper to buy these for 40 bucks when you already have brand new blackwalls than buy 4 new whitewall tires... did you ever think of that ass hole?

Because It's always better to post in an existing thread then to start a new one :p I figured I'd just bump this thread... My 1991 ECOdiesel is finally back on the road! For a car with 380,000 miles on it she shure shines up nicely:

I've allready turned the fuel delivery screw down (which increases fuel) as far as it would go... with the turbo there is minimal smoke, though I can soot on demand by romping it before the boost comes yup... just what I want! The next mod will probably be some ecode headlights... I do a lot of night driving, and those dot lights just aren't sufficient. I'm still working on getting my snowflake rims cleaned up. I will not miss those fugly Z-Racing things.

Guardrails at 90mph. Some rich dude's driveway while he's at work. Stuff that you actually see in car ads.

Don't get me wrong, the contrast between nice shiny car and dirty beat-up loading docks is quite striking, but it doesn't do much to suggest refinement or prestige, and at the very least a car that old in such good shape suggests that you have a bit of money and time to burn.

I had a 92 Jetta 4 door with a auto as my beater car. I loved it. They are good cars.

Here is a few pics.... its the (slow) race car.
