along with some co-main events as well.

fight that i wish had been signed for 5 rounds:

    gsp-penn
    gsp-koscheck
    chuck-wand
    nick diaz-diego
    diego-karo
    ortiz-griffin
    ortiz-rashad
    ortiz-machida
    kendall grove-ed herman
griffin-guida (yeah, i know it wasnt a highlighted card)

we might be wishing that florian-huerta was allowed 5 rounds

I remember talk about going to 5 rounds for normal fights and 7 rounds for title fights.

    Will never happen though.

i think three 5 minute rounds aren't enough but five 5 minute rounds all fighters seem to gas at the end so :dunno:

3 min rounds? No thanks, you can't do shit in 3 min., it works great for boxing but not for MMA.

I like the 4 minute rounds in IFL.

Five 4 minute rounds for regular fights would be cool.

I like the Pride style of first round 10 minutes and rounds two and three 5 minutes.

    with roids allowed ofcourse. :greddy:

That would be cool but the big problem with that is it kills one of the best things about MMA events is we get to see a bunch of fights. It would suck if we only got 3 or 4 fights in an event.

I think Dana remarked recently that they're looking at "super fights" that could qualify some fights for 5 rounds that aren't title fights.

The first of this kind was Hughes Pierre II; the "interim" belt was as much to allow it to be 5 rounds as anything else.

    3/5 rounds is plenty

anything longer would just consist of lots of heavy panting and flailing around for most fights. also, imagine how long each event would be, how many more injuries would occur (during training and during the fight), and how boring most fights would be

wars like the ones mentioned above would be far and few between

I think this is the best possible solution. There are definitely some fights that I want to see go longer - Chuck/Wandy is the most apparent off the top of my head. But most fights that go to a 3 round decision I'm fine with leaving it at that.

Most fighters are gassed before the end of 3. I'm not really interested in seeing 2 more sloppy round.

Keep it how it is or change to pride style, IMO.

you know what I prefer 3 round fights because if its a snoozer or its wack I would preffer for it to end.
