well i dont know how many of you follow my posts, but about a week ago i posted about a pain i had in my chest.

i had pneumonia. that pain was my lung swollen up and being compressed. i cannot workout for at least 2 more weeks, and i have a tough time even breathing. my diet has gone to shit, i just sit around eating cereal and watching tv. its about all i have energy for.

how the hell can i pull myself out of this rut?

Muscle memory will help you a ton. All of us get sick/injured, it's not that big of a deal.

stress of exams coupled with having either the flu or some bad allergies at the same time, plus hardly getting any sleep from studying for exams i think.

either way its just my right lung. luckily not both.. same shit killed bernie mac and raybeez.

it doesnt seem like its that bad when its in early stages. my mom made me go to the doc because she said i sounded horrible. he kept saying it was sinuses until he pu tthe stethescope up to my chest. he then took one listen and immediately said "you need to get some x-rays" :wtc:

    I feel you man.

I went though a couple months of breathing problems, poor lung function, etc.. and took 2 months out of the gym almost.

Just keep your diet solid while you're at home. That will help a ton.
Muscle memory will take care of the rest.

Just remember there is more to life than your progress at the gym. The gym will always be there for you if you can stay alive. I would focus on being healthy first then start worrying about your progress.

I went through the same thing after knee surgery as I was regaining back my broly.

A month or 2 later, I was hit with strep throat and lost lots of conditioning and muscles.

I feel your pain brah. 2 1/2 weeks ago I started to get extremely nauseous after eating, after quite a few tests they determined my stomach was inflamed, and they also suggested that I get my gall bladder removed sometime soon. I went from 185lbs down to 170ish over that time and have only started to eat more than soup/crackers/etc two days ago. I am sure ill put the weight back on fairly quick and figure it might have been a good rest for my muscles anyway. Worry about getting better first, you have the rest of your life to lift.

Yeah I found out I was allergic to penicillin a few years ago... the hard way. Got perscribed some other antibiotics this time which made me feel sort of lazy but it wasn't bad.

Hit in the eye with a bottle rocket, BAM no strenuous activity for 3 months or I'd pop a blood vessel in my eye and go blind, first day back in the gym after those 3 months I broke my ankle that night and a week later broke my wrist. Fuck that :hs:
