don't pay any attention to the effective shit buff, inc throws out.. it's all marketing jibberish.

true Ws is what you need to look for.

We have JTL's at work, and here are my thoughts:

    1. The slave sensor sucks. We have 3 lights (2 mono, 1 portable) and none of the slave sensors work very well.

    2. The controls are horrid. I love the AB slider vs. JTL's knob.

    3. JTL's are a little bulky and heavy

    4. don't care for the umbrella holder location.

I haven't had my AB800 very long, but so far it is leaps and bounds better than the JTL's. Maybe they've changed since we purchased ours (about 6 years ago) but i'm not impressed.
