I dunno why Dana would do this. Aleks gonna expose the UFC HW division like Silva did to the MW division.

Seems the UFC is trying to get more fighters than from just North America. It would be a smart move if you think about it, it adds a good HW to their weak lineup.

i think this is a worse move than silva because of Aleks's ties with his brother. That will get pride ALOT of exposure. Silva wasn't that bad of a move considering how they didnt market it as pride vs. ufc. otherwise that would have been a total self-rape

i see it as making the UFC stronger, not "exposeing" the UFC :dunno:

While on one hand Alex has proven himself a great fighter, his game does resemble that of a UFC HW fighter like Tim Sylvia (only 50x better of course). Mainly sticks to boxing. Some kicks, little grappling.

    He'd dominate the UFC.

I read that interview but there are a lot of reason why I dont think he would come

-He is a convicted criminal in Russia correct? That would pose visa problems for him.
-He openly admits his brother is the best, UFC tends pretend Fedor does not exist
-Aleks would probably also have his brother in corner for fights, more Pride adversiting

But I hope he does, both brothers owning the 2 biggest MMA organizations in the world would be great to see.

Doubt it'll happen, Dana is a bitch on many levels. But it would definitely make the UFC HW division more exciting that's for sure.

Damn, why couldn't I have been born an Emelianenko :wtc:

who will he fight, none of the ufc heavies are worth him getting sweaty.

sure he'll go in and knock tim's head off but then what,,,,,ufc is SO weak at heavyweight Alex will just be going through bums like water.

oh well, easy money for alex i guess.

He'll come in and get one fight (against Arlovski, Kongo, Mir, or maybe Vera), win, then get and win his title shot just like Anderson Silva did.

That would be awesome if UFC would sign some top heavy weight talent and really pump life back into the division...

it was a tournament so a winner had to be named, Fedor could not continue due to the illegal cut. so TK was winner so the tournament could continue. Fedor later murdured TK in a pride match.
