    anyone used this deck? Good/bad?

My old Sony just got stolen on Sat, so I'm looking to replace. Going Alpine this time...

This particular Alpine isn't anything special (I think) just a mid-range deck. Just looking for opinions from anyone whose used one already.

    Thanks....

I just picked up an open box Alpine CDA-9813 for $219.

Don't know anything about the 9827, though.

its sort of similar. How do you like your 9813? Sound quality, wise? Good, I assume?

Just had it installed yesterday. I have stock speakers in my Integra, so I can't really comment on the sound quality. It definately puts more power to them. I think I am going to pick up a set of CDT Audio CL-61 (I think that's the model) components and be done with it.

one question: how is your radio reception? My fm is so-so and am is crappy.

I keep getting told by the dealer the Alpine has a better tuner than my Sony. however I found some posts on another board mentioning Alpine doesn't have great tuner perf.

    How's your radio reception?

Anyways, my impression of this Alpine is that the unit is well built and puts out good sound quality, however the Sony I had before was definitely more feature packed. Too bad all the Sonys nowadays are kind ofugly.

The 9813 is a fair bit more advanced than the 9827, but its things like digital time correction, 3 way crossover and a parametric EQ. If you cant see yourself messing with any of that stuff then you'll be perfectly happy with the 9827.

The radio reception in my Alpine is pretty good.
